Sieverstedt: Hotels and Accommodation

The Forest and Meadow Tour is a marked circular hiking trail in Sieverstedt. It starts at the “Am Schwimmbad” car park and leads through the Kirchenholz forest, along sandy paths and through the town centre. A branch leads to a shelter where you can take a break.

Culture and History

St. Peter’s Church stands on a hill at the intersection of two main routes. Near Helligbek is the Poppostein, a remarkable Neolithic monument in Sieverstedt. It has been preserved as a free-standing burial chamber made of six supporting stones; the remaining capstone bears 17 small bowl-shaped depressions.

Local historical traditions associate the land around Sieverstedt with an ancient mission area.

Transport Connections

Sieverstedt is located near the A7 motorway and is well connected to the surrounding area. A bus network connects the town with neighbouring communities.

Summer and Cycling

The local outdoor swimming pool offers a place to cool off and spend time together in summer. In Treeneland, there are circular cycling routes as well as sections of the historic Ox Road and Stapelholmer Way. The tourist information centre rents out e-bikes.
