Halmstad – Village History, Church and Cultural Landscape

Halmstad combines a clearly discernible village history with an open agricultural landscape in northwestern Scania. The ecclesiastical historical surroundings also include Halmstad kapellkyrkogård. It is located separately from the church and has a funerary chapel designed by Theodor Wåhlin. Duveke estate is also located north of Halmstad. Its estate owner was historically the patron of Halmstad kyrka and had considerable influence over the church.
