Agtrup: Beach, Forest Trails and Coastal Experiences

In the area around Agtrup, Agtrup Vig is home to a small, nature-rich beach area with fine white sand. Groynes made of large stones run across the beach and give the shoreline a distinctive shape. Days of cycling and hiking in Agtrup can therefore be planned around two different starting points: the signposted Vandvejen and the access point at Nørreskoven, Agtrup Bomhus. Vandvejen refers to the route by bicycle through the forest and along the coast, while Nørreskoven refers to access to many hiking routes.

Fishing in Kolding Fjord

In the area around Agtrup, fishing is possible in Kolding Fjord from Agtrup Vig all year round. The year-round opportunity to fish makes Kolding Fjord a travel-planning topic regardless of the season. Agtrup Vig lies between Løger and Skarre Odde and is considered a popular fishing spot for deep-water fishing and fly-fishing in shallow water. Agtrup Mølle is also known as “Vennermindet” and stands at the top of Møllebakken. In the 17th century, Gammelgård was what was known as a half royal tenant farm. Gammelgård has been owned by the Eeg family since 1845. Agtrup Frørenseri was founded by Mads Kehlet in 1911. At Gammelgård, the ownership history since 1845 follows the tenant farm in the 17th century; the seed-cleaning facility was founded later, in 1911.
