Vejle County between fjord landscapes, hiking trails and culture
The beaches at Tirsbæk, Ulbækhus and Daugård on Vejle Fjord are popular and offer areas to relax, inviting bathing water and magnificent views. In Højen Ådal, the hilly terrain is surrounded by steep, wooded slopes; the Højen Å flows between them. This landscape was shaped by the powerful meltwater forces of the Ice Age. For those interested in nature, the focus here is on water, forest and the Ice Age-shaped hilly landscape.
The marked Grejsdalstien trail runs between Vejle and Jelling and is 16 kilometres long. Those walking it should allow approximately three to five hours; trains or buses can be used between the two towns. At 19.3 kilometres, Højen og Mølholm Ådale is longer than Grejsdalstien.
