Pieniężno: Hotels and accommodations

Pieniężno is situated along the middle course of the Wałsza, which has the character of a mountain river. A riverside reserve extends for approximately 17 km and continues beyond the municipality through fields and mixed forests. Kayakers use the bends of the Wałsza, although the fast current makes the route difficult.

Trails and viewpoints

From the Church of Saints Peter and Paul, a hiking trail leads over historic stone steps to the Wałsza Gorge. Along the way are the forest stadium and its bandstand. Within the municipality, the Copernicus Trail runs for 24 km; Pieniężno lies along its 103 km route. A viewing tower on Biała Góra offers a panorama of the surrounding area.

Culture and history

The castle of the Warmian Cathedral Chapter in Pieniężno is dated to the period from the 14th to the 19th century and stands on a promontory above the Wałsza Gorge. In the wider regional surroundings of Pieniężno lies the “Rural House”, a former theater.
