Culture and History

The Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Boreczno was built in the first half of the 14th century. Its furnishings include Gothic and Baroque elements; it also contains a 1595 tombstone depicting a knight in armor.

Historically, Boreczno was known as Śniegwałd, Schnellwalde in German. A village was founded here in 1311.
