Kurzętnik: Hotels and Accommodation
Kurzętnik is home to the ruins of the castle of the Chełmno Chapter. Its construction is described as having begun after 1331; the castle was fully completed in 1361.
History
The castle and its fortifications in Kurzętnik are attributed a role in the context of the Battle of Grunwald in 1410. Archaeological investigations of the castle ruins are also said to have uncovered a Teutonic cannon dating from 1410, described as a unique medieval bombard in Poland.
