Hiking the Blue Trail
A 2.0 km section of the blue trail leads from Karnocice to Dargobądz; the section from Dargobądz to Mokrzyca Mała is 4.5 km long. Dargobądz is the destination of the first section and the starting point of the second. Comparing the two provides a concrete reference between a shorter and a longer stretch of trail. You can decide whether to plan your day around a single section or the entire route. The two sections total 6.5 km, equivalent to a quarter of the 26 km route; they therefore show only part of the full trail.
The section through Dargobądz is considered typical of a rural landscape. So, in addition to its length, the character of the landscape also defines the stage. The blue hiking trail offers walks in the immediate vicinity of the Szczecin Lagoon; along the route, you can also observe numerous bird species typical of the local biotopes. If you particularly want to see the steep shore of the Szczecin Lagoon, you can end your hike in Dargobądz, one of the possible endpoints.

History in the Village and Surrounding Area
The ruins of Żurawice Castle (Żurawiec), also known as Apenburg, lie atop Gór Mokrzyckich in a forest on a slope near Dargobądz. The castle was destroyed shortly after World War II.
A disused Protestant cemetery is located in the village itself, near the castle ruins. One gravestone in the cemetery dates from 1870. This specific date marks a different historical period from the castle’s destruction shortly after World War II.
Dargobądz is also home to an archaeological burial ground identified as AZP 21-05, site 5. The archaeological site “osada, st. 1” is a settlement in Dargobądz. The two sites represent different categories: a burial ground and a settlement.
The locations provide a separate point of reference: the cemetery and archaeological sites are in Dargobądz, while the castle is in the surrounding area. This distinguishes the historical sites in the village from the nearby castle ruins.
