Barlinek: Hotels and Accommodation

Barlinek combines designated walking activities with surroundings shaped by forests, water and historic urban architecture. The town has a Nordic walking centre with 50 kilometres of signposted routes: the network comprises seven routes and three levels of difficulty.

Hiking and Landscape

Six of the Nordic walking routes run through the Barlinecko-Gorzowski Landscape Park, while another leads through meadows and woodland in Łubianka. The wider regional surroundings of Barlinek also include Góry Lipki. The broader Barlinek area additionally contains wooded landscapes and part of the Barlinecko-Gorzowski Landscape Park. The nature reserves of Skalisty Jar Libberta and Markowe Błota are located in the eastern part of the municipality.

Lake and Townscape

A defining waterscape is Jezioro Barlineckie. The lake is associated with views of Barlinek and its church, creating a clearly recognisable connection between the lakeshore landscape and the town.

Culture and History

Barlinek’s historical heritage includes medieval town walls and the Gothic Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary from the fifteenth century. Historic town houses from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries stand in the market square. There is also a half-timbered building associated with the architecture of the former Neumark, as well as the Goose Girl Fountain, a local symbol.

Regional roads 156 and 151 run through the road network around Barlinek. They provide connections towards Lipiany, Strzelce Krajeńskie, Gorzów Wielkopolski, Pełczyce and Choszczno.
