Barnówko is located on the Myśla River in the Dębno Municipality, in Myślibórz County and the West Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Nature

The local landscape includes the Myśla River and fish ponds associated with the historic Barnówko estate. In the surrounding area, routes within the Dębno Municipality run along sections of the Kosa River and past the Barnówko Lakes.

History and culture

Barnówko has a documented medieval history: the village was first mentioned in 1299 and had town rights before 1317, which it lost in 1608.

The former Barnówko palace was built in 1780; a park was established in the second half of the 18th century. The palace burned down during wartime hostilities in 1945.

The former cemetery chapel became the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Barnówko in 1967.
