Silnowo: Hotels and Accommodations

Silnowo is located on Lake Pile in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. The place therefore combines a clearly defined lakeside setting with an environment where traces of Slavic settlement, more recent military history, and regional cultural initiatives come together.

Landscape and Regional Context

Silnowo is located on National Road 20, the Stargard–Szczecinek–Gdynia road, and has a stop named Silnowo. The wider regional surroundings include Skotna Góra, Polska Góra, Spyczyna Góry, and Wola Góra. Szczecinek – Zamek XIV w. is also located in this wider regional area.

History and Culture

Silnowo has documented links to an old Slavic settlement and is associated with an area of ancient Slavic settlement. A section of the Pomeranian Wall fortification line, built by Germany in the 1930s, is located in the nearby surroundings of the place; this section was built near Silnowo.

During construction work, a Bronze Age hoard was discovered in Silnowo in 1965. The finds included bracelets, pendants, and decorative pins. Silnowo is also listed as a participant in a regional village competition in which the protection of cultural heritage, cultural events, education, and environmental initiatives were assessed.

Nature and the Present Day

For the shore of Lake Pile in Silnowo, a local project envisaged improvements with sports and leisure infrastructure. The corresponding facility has not yet been implemented.
