Hike at Lake Hejrede Sø

A roughly 4-kilometre hike starts at the pumping station at Røgbøllevej 6, 4894 Øster Ulslev, and ends at Godsted Mose. The approximately four kilometres give the route a limited spatial scope for specific day planning on site. The hike can serve as a separate nature section in the day's itinerary. Around Øster Ulslev, the Munkevejen, Galleri Courage and Øster Ulslev Church provide further specific destinations. The starting point by the lake is thus complemented by a cycling route, art and church furnishings.

Lakes, forest and marshland

In the wider regional area around Øster Ulslev, Lake Hejrede Sø is part of a lake district. It includes Søndersø, Røgbølle Sø, Hejrede Sø and Nørresø; the four lakes are surrounded by large forest and marshland areas, as well as agricultural land. At Høvængestenen, located south of Øster Ulslev, there is an information board and a table-and-bench set. The table-and-bench set provides a simple place to take a break by the stone before continuing the bike tour.
