Heiligenhafen

The seaside health resort of Heiligenhafen is located to the North of the island of Fehmarn. It was founded more than 700 years ago, 150 of which are dedicated to the resort. The present form it has got only in 1960’s.

Today Heiligenhafen with about 10,000 inhabitants presents itself as a mixture of romantic Old Town with small fishing houses and historical harbour, a modern entertainment park on the dunes of the Steinwarder peninsula and the second largest yacht harbour on the Baltic coast with more than 1,000 moorings as well as the biggest ocean-going fishing fleet of Germany. The 5-km-long beach is framed with a beautiful scenery and nature reserves that invite you to sunbathe and relax. The untouched natural peninsula of Dünenwarder invites wheeled tourists as well as hikers and travelers. Sea water indoor swimming pool and lots of shopping possibilities will enrich your staying here.

The Holy harbour offers an especially attractive holiday for a family, with great playgrounds and many attractions; above all, during the summer you can explore the coast, rent fishing-rods, play mini-golf, rent pedal boats, tennis and more… All these allow spending an active holiday in the indoor children area. Sports arena, sauna and wellness centre are only some pieces of it. Especially older and handicapped guests will be glad about the beach suitable for the handicapped.
