Samsø Island

The island of Samsø is just under 28 kilometres long and at most seven kilometres wide, with its narrowest point measuring less than 700 metres. It is a paradise for water sports and perfectly equipped for a beach holiday between the Baltic Sea and the Kattegat. The hotspots are right next to a wide range of holiday apartments and holiday homes. Hotels are rare on Samsø, but there is no shortage of welcoming and attractive holiday apartments and holiday homes.
Every summer, several thousand holidaymakers are drawn to Samsø. Located in the Danish Kattegat between Jutland and Zealand, the true appeal of a holiday on Samsø lies in the variety of activities to enjoy amid farmsteads, expanses of open fields and quaint woodland. Covering just over 112 square kilometres, the island offers cycling routes, boat trips along its beaches, and trails where you can seek adventure or simply enjoy a ride as part of a horse-riding holiday on Denmark’s Baltic coast.
