With its many shops, shopping centres and restaurants, Koszalin has become a popular destination for holidaymakers from the surrounding regions of the Polish Baltic coast.
A large forest area stretches southeast of the city, with numerous well-marked routes for hiking and cycling. A particular attraction for visitors is the 136-metre-high Gollenberg (Góra Chełmska). Once an ancient place of worship, it later became a Christian pilgrimage site and is now home to numerous monuments. It also has an observation tower offering views across the city and the Baltic coast as far as ]Darfowo ]. A narrow strip of land separates two coastal lakes from the sea, with a narrow channel providing access to the Baltic. On either side of the largest, Lake Jamno (Jamund Lake), are the Baltic seaside resorts of Mielno (Groß Möllen) and Łazy (Laase).
A holiday in Koszalin, near the Polish Baltic coast, offers ideal conditions for accommodation, excursions, dining, culture and, last but not least, an active family holiday by the Baltic Sea.

For Baltic holidaymakers, Koszalin makes a convenient detour inland from the Polish coast. The city complements seaside resorts and holiday destinations in West Pomerania with shopping, culture and viewpoints around Gollenberg.
