Möwenort Holiday Resort on the Gnitz Peninsula
The Gnitz Peninsula on Usedom near the Baltic Sea resort of Zinnowitz offers numerous attractive places to visit in a compact area. Whether you’re looking for coastal cliffs in a nature reserve, woodland with white-tailed eagle nests, a beach or a boat landing, there’s something for everyone. The Möwenort Holiday Resort in Lütow, at the southern tip of the peninsula, was modernised in 2012. In addition to 12 comfortably furnished bungalows, it also offers holiday apartments in the main building. The resort is particularly well suited to holidays with dogs.

Modern furnishings
Each bungalow has satellite TV, laminate flooring, its own fireplace (bungalows 8–12) and a large, covered terrace with garden furniture. The bedroom has plenty of storage space and box-spring beds that can be set up separately. The living room also has a seating area which, by prior arrangement, can be used as an extra bed for a third person. The fully equipped kitchen is generously stocked with a two-ring ceramic hob, a fridge with freezer compartment, kettle, toaster, coffee maker and ample crockery. The bungalow bathroom has a hairdryer, heated mirror and towel rail.
Sports, events and pets
The main building at the holiday resort has a modern, practical conference room for small meetings and workshops. Event organisers can make use of facilities ranging from a video projector and clipboards to Wi-Fi access. With 70 square metres of space, a small bar and an adjoining terrace, the function room is the ideal place to make a family celebration, wedding or corporate event an unforgettable occasion. The resort is especially popular with sports groups such as volleyball players and canoeists during the shoulder seasons, and the canoe rental service makes it an ideal base. Weekly barbecues are held in the outdoor area during the main season. Four sheep and a goat in the enclosure in the courtyard provide a calming sight for children and adults alike. There is plenty of room for your dog, but out of consideration for other guests, dogs must be kept on a leash.
Fishing and boating
The resort’s private waterfront, with its beach and jetty, is the perfect place to enjoy a day on holiday or a break between meetings. The motorboat, which can be driven without a licence, is especially popular with anglers. The resort also offers trips for up to eight people on a traditional fishing boat with a captain. Pets are welcome at the holiday resort, which is open all year round. The resort is also a great choice for caravan holidaymakers, with a secure, lockable car park. A newly built sanitary facility designed specifically for motorhomes and caravans serves the pitches close to the Achterwasser lagoon; it includes a shower, toilet, washing machine and tumble dryer. Use of the Wi-Fi network and private beach is included.

For guests travelling with a dog, the location on the Gnitz Peninsula is a major advantage: paths along the Achterwasser, peaceful natural surroundings and short distances to places such as Zinnowitz make the Möwenort Holiday Resort a great addition to the range of holiday destinations on Usedom.
