Bartenshagen-Parkentin: Hotels and Accommodation

Bartenshagen-Parkentin is located between Bad Doberan and the Hanseatic City of Rostock. Bartenshagen, one of the municipality’s districts, is situated on slightly elevated terrain, about seven kilometres from the Baltic Sea at Nienhagen Beach.

Landscape

The municipality is predominantly characterised by agricultural land, particularly arable fields. Meadows and pastures are found south of Parkentin near Neuhof and north of Bollbrücke. Rasenberg is located in the immediate vicinity of Bartenshagen-Parkentin; the surrounding area also includes Glashäger Quelle and Eisenquelle.

The surrounding area of Bartenshagen-Parkentin includes Rostock Zoo, Doberan Minster, Palaisgarten and Kamp. St. Mary’s Church in Rostock is also located there.

Culture

Parkentin Village Church is a three-aisled Gothic brick church built after 1250. Its Romanesque fieldstone choir dates from the mid-13th century. The church contains wall and vault paintings dating from around 1400, which were extensively restored about a century ago.
