Character and history

Sarmstorf is a municipality in the district of Rostock in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany. Sarmstorf was first documented in 1339. Its cultural heritage includes a Baroque village chapel and a monument commemorating the land reform after 1945. At the same time, Sarmstorf has retained a character shaped by agriculture over many years.
