Most of the municipality of Klocksin lies in the Nossentiner/Schwinzer Heide Nature Park. Liepse is located in the surrounding area; the Kronsberg, Wahrenscher Berg and Soltberg are also nearby.

Malchiner See, located north of Klocksin, drains via the Peene into the Baltic Sea. The waterways south of Klocksin, including Flacher See, on the other hand, drain via the Müritz, the Elde and the Elbe into the North Sea.

Burg Schlitz is located in the area surrounding Klocksin. The wider regional area includes the Thünen Museum, Dornbusch and the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Wildlife Park.
