Zierow: Hotels and Accommodation

Zierow is situated on the Bay of Wismar, opposite the islands of Poel and Walfisch. At Eggers Wiek, the village has an approximately two-kilometre-long stretch of Baltic Sea coast.

Coast and Landscape

Zierow’s landscape is ideal for long walks and cycling tours; the countryside around the village also offers opportunities for extended hiking and cycling tours. The cycling routes mentioned include routes along the Bay of Wismar and Wohlenberger Wiek, as well as a route from Wismar to Gamehl Castle.

Surroundings

Wangernp Beach, Walfisch and Fliemstorf Huk are located in the immediate vicinity of Zierow. The surrounding area is home to Wismar Zoo, Poel and Bürgerpark. The village church in Bössow, a district of Warnow, is also located there. Further afield in the region lies the Erlebnis- und Tigerpark Dassow.

Getting There

Zierow can be reached from the A20 via the Wismar Mitte or Bobitz exits and then via connecting regional roads. From Wismar, the village is connected by a local bus service; rail connections to Wismar are available via Hamburg or Berlin.

Character of the Village

Since 11 July 2015, Zierow has been officially recognised by the state as a health resort. The village is considered sunny and offers accommodation to suit different preferences.
