Baumgarten: Hotels and accommodations

Baumgarten is a municipality in the Rostock district of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The town has a church that was first documented in 1233.

History and Architectural Heritage

The church in Baumgarten belongs to the local Evangelical Lutheran parish. Its construction combines fieldstone and brick masonry with an eastern gable end decorated with pointed-arch twin panels. The lower section of the west tower is built of fieldstone masonry, while the upper section is timber-framed. The interior of the church was extensively renovated in the Neo-Gothic style in 1891; its organ was made by the organ builder Schwarz from Rostock.

The church's program includes one or two concerts during the summer season.
