Culture

The village has a local history museum in a former granary building. The municipality also includes the village church in Neukirchen and a half-timbered chapel from the 17th century in Passin.

The village forge in Klein Belitz dates from 1822 and still has two functioning forge installations. The church in Neukirchen developed in the 13th century and has groined vaults and a late Romanesque altar area.

The Klein Belitz estate complex comprises two manor houses from different construction periods. They are connected by a linking wing and form the center of the former estate.

Landscape

The surrounding area is predominantly flat and extends from the Warnow Valley to the Neukirchener Plage wetland, which is a nature reserve. Langer Berg is located near Klein Belitz; Kiepersberg and Hoher Berg are in the surrounding area.

Klein Belitz is located between Bützow and Rostock in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Bützow Castle is located in the surrounding area. In the wider regional area are Güstrow Castle, the Groß Raden open-air museum, Doberan Abbey, and the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Wildlife Park.
