Am Salzhaff is a municipality in the western district of Rostock in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, located inland from the flat southeastern coast of the Salzhaff. The Salzhaff is an enclosed coastal body of brackish water and, as a bay of the Baltic Sea, is separated from the open sea by the Wustrow Peninsula. The Hanseatic City of Wismar is approximately 22 kilometers away.
