Zerrenthin: Hotels and Accommodations

Zerrenthin is located in Vorpommern-Greifswald in eastern Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and belongs to the Amt Uecker-Randow-Tal administrative district. Its administrative seat is the nearby town of Pasewalk; Zerrenthin is located approximately seven kilometers east of it.

Landscape

The village lies on the northern edge of a terminal moraine arc stretching between the Uecker and Randow valleys. To the north begins the flatter Ueckermünde Heath. The Schwedenberg hill is located near Zerrenthin, while the Galgenberg hill is in the surrounding area. The wider regional area also includes the children's quad bike track, the ecological station, and the castle rampart.

Culture and History

Zerrenthin is one of the parish villages in the Protestant Zerrenthin-Rollwitz parish district. Schloss Bröllin and Bröllin village church are located nearby; Schlossberg is situated in the vicinity of Zerrenthin.

The writer Irma Harder lived and worked in Zerrenthin from 1937 to 1956. After her husband's death, she continued to run a farm and wrote plays and stories about rural everyday life.
