Chałupy: Hotels and Accommodation

Chałupy is a coastal resort located at the foot of the Hel Peninsula, between the Baltic Sea and Puck Bay. The townscape includes a beach considered clean, wide, and quiet. At the same time, shallow, calm waters and suitable winds contribute to the town’s association with windsurfing and kitesurfing.

History and Maritime Culture

Chałupy has its roots in a fishing settlement formerly known as Budziszewo and Ceynowa; in 1920, the name Chałupy became official. This heritage is reflected in the long-running Kaszubskie Łodzie pod Żaglami festival. It features traditional boat races and old fishing boats and offers an opportunity to taste Kashubian cuisine specialties.

A railway line through Chałupy was established in 1922. It connected Hel with Władysławowo and included a station in Chałupy.
