Ostrowo: Hotels and Accommodation

Ostrowo is a Baltic Sea coastal settlement on the northwestern edge of the Kashubian Coast. The built-up area is located approximately one kilometre from the Baltic Sea.

History and Culture

Ostrowo is archaeologically associated with the Mesolithic and Neolithic periods; the settlement is first mentioned in 1381. Attractions include a historic Kashubian residential house believed to date from the 18th century.

Krokowo - Zamek is located in the vicinity of Ostrowo. In the wider regional area lies Rzucewo - Pałac Neogotycki 1840-1845.

Landscape and Beach

The local landscape includes the Czarna Woda, the higher-lying Kępa Ostrowska, surrounding wetlands, pine forests and meadows. Ostrowo Beach is considered sandy and is characterised by fine white sand and a gentle slope towards the sea.

Nature and Trails

A wooden observation tower in the forest is considered a viewpoint offering views over the Bielawskie Błota and the Puck Land. A 5 km-long educational trail through the Bielawa Reserve begins near the Ostrowo forester's lodge.

The Bielawa Reserve area is considered suitable for observing plants, birds and animals. The animals mentioned there include migrating cranes. For Karwia and Jastrzębia Góra, there are more than 32 km of marked Nordic walking routes of varying difficulty; both places are located approximately 2.5 km west of Ostrowo.

The surroundings of Ostrowo also include Plaża Dębki, Władysławowo plaża, Jastrzębia Góra, as well as “Mechowo k/Pucka. Groty Mechowskie”.
