Lakeside Landscape and Surroundings
Lake Borzechowskie Wielkie is 35 metres deep, making it the deepest lake in Kociewie. It is also one of the largest and deepest lakes in the immediate area. Lake Borzechowskie Małe adds a second lake to the waterside setting.
Nearby, the Wirty Arboretum lies on the western shore of Lake Borzechowskie Wielkie. It offers another nature-based option to consider when planning your trip. There is also a cycling route described as comfortable that connects Borzechowo with, among other places, nearby Wirty. Cycling can therefore be considered as a focus in its own right; the connection to Wirty is the specific route suggested for a ride. The arboretum and cycling route offer different ways to explore the area for guests who would rather spend their time in the surroundings than focus exclusively on the village’s buildings.
Church and Kociewie House
St. Anne’s Parish Church is a Neo-Baroque building and a prominent landmark on the Borzechowo skyline. It was built in 1854 and served as a Protestant church until 1945. On 28 April 1998, it was entered in the register of historic monuments as a protected building under number 1662. Its construction, former religious use and subsequent listing belong to different chapters of its history. For travellers interested in culture, the church offers a specific reason to explore the village’s historical character.
Another historic building is the thatched, wooden Kociewie house. It dates to the 18th century and is said to have been built on foundations dating from 1625. These dates refer to different aspects: the dating of the house and the reported assumption about its foundations. On 21 December 1984, the building was entered in the register of historic monuments as a protected building under number 1076. The historic Kociewie house also contains a branch of the municipal library. The house thus combines regional architectural history with a present-day function in the village.

Numerous local events take place in Borzechowo during the season, organised by the local KGW Modraki and the village council.
