Łęcze bears the thematic designation “Village of Wind and Arcades” – associated with strong local winds and a historic windmill. The village also includes a group of arcaded houses from the late 18th and early 19th centuries, as well as an Iron Age hillfort, parts of whose surrounding rampart have been preserved.
Culture and History
The parish church of Łęcze, dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, was built in 1746; its tower was added in 1881. The historic houses and preserved sections of the rampart complement this picture with various traces of the village’s history and early settlement.
