The origins of Muławki date back to the Middle Ages: the settlement was founded in 1412 under Kulm law. At the same time, with its historic manor house, the village preserves an architectural monument from the second half of the 19th century.

History

The historic manor house in Muławki dates from the second half of the 19th century. Towards the end of that century, it belonged to the Werner family; in the 1920s, Wilhelm Duwe was the owner.

Architecture

The manor house is a single-storey building with a rectangular floor plan, standing on a hill. Its design includes a half-hipped roof, a three-axis avant-corps and a triangular gable.

Surroundings

In the vicinity of Muławki, Kętrzyn is home to the 14th-century Zamek Krzyżacki Rastenburg. In the surrounding area, Reszel is home to the 14th- and 15th-century Zamek Biskupów Warmińskich. The wider region also includes the 14th-century Zamek Krzyżacki in Barciany, as well as Upałty.

Muławki is located on Poland’s provincial road 591, the road between Kętrzyn and Mrągowo.
