Lake Blanki is part of the local landscape, and the Symsarna flows from it. A 23-kilometre kayak route on the Symsarna starts from a promontory on Lake Blanki: it leads from Blanki via Lake Symsar and Medyny to Lidzbark Warmiński.

Culture

In the area surrounding Blanki, Lidzbark Warmiński is home to the Zamek Biskupów Warmińskich XIVw. and St. Peter & Paul. In the wider regional area are Olsztyn – Zamek XIVw., the Bazylika Kolegiacka and Janusz Kusociński Park.

Local character

Blanki is Zielarska Wieś (“Herbal Village”) and regularly hosts the Herb Festival, which is associated with local folklore, handicrafts and natural products. The festival features dishes prepared with herbs, tastings of regional specialities and a traditional culinary competition. The programme is rounded off by a craft fair featuring local natural products and handmade goods.
