History

Giże was founded on 25 July 1553 as a rent-paying village under Chełmno law.

Local History

A school was established in Giże around 1740; in 1935, it had two teachers and 71 pupils. In addition, Giże had a stop on the narrow-gauge railway from 1911 onward.
