Polom: Hotels and Accommodation

Połom has a historic character associated with an estate and forestry. As a rent-paying village, the place is recorded for the years 1539–1540.

History

A three-stone ducal mill once operated in Połom. As part of the Germanisation processes, the settlement was renamed Herzogsmühle in 1938.

From the 17th century until the beginning of the 19th century, Połom was home to the seat of the public and fiscal administration. An ironworks was also in operation here until the end of the 18th century; a school was founded in 1762.
