The first recorded mention of the settlement of Rozogi dates back to the mid-16th century. Its foundation as Friedrichowen (Rozóg) followed a privilege granted to Jacob Bieber in 1645.

History

Historically, Rozogi held the rights granted in 1685 to host four annual fairs and a weekly Thursday market. A tavern privilege from 1679 also included the right to brew, distill, and sell beer and spirits.

A description from 1553 located the Rossocken hunting lodge at a small elevation on the right bank of the Rozoga River.

Other Places

In the wider region around Rozogi are Szczytno – the 14th-century Teutonic Castle, Kadzidłowo, and Dąbrowa.
