Saplaty: Hotels and Accommodation

Sąpłaty is located on Lake Sąpłaty and is surrounded by forests. The village is situated in Poland’s Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in Szczytno County and the municipality of Dźwierzuty.

Location and Landscape

The lakeshore around Sąpłaty comprises settlement areas, recreational properties, meadows, pastures, and unused land. In some sections, the shore is high and steep. The lake lies within the “Olsztyn Lakeland Protected Landscape Area”. It is considered a body of water with a sandy or sandy-muddy bottom; reeds grow along parts of its shore.

By the Water

Lake Sąpłaty has numerous piers and several informal access points to the water. The recreation center also has a water sports equipment rental service. The road connection to the lake runs via Barczewo, Bartołty Wielkie, and Rumy; in Rumy, it branches off toward Sąpłaty.

Culture and History

The regional museum “Babska Izba” is located in Sąpłaty. The settlement was founded at the beginning of the 15th century under Kulm Law, also known as Chełmno Law. A brick school building erected in 1904 features architecture that refers to Gothic military architecture; this includes a pseudo-Danzig gable.
