Lake Świętajno is a lake in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in Szczytno County and the Gmina of Świętajno. The lake is considered part of Masuria.
Water and landscape
Lake Świętajno is narrow and elongated, extending along a northwest-southeast axis. The Szkwa (Rozoga) River flows through the lake from north to south.
The shores generally rise gently or are flat; only individual sections are steep. Forest surrounds most of the lake, while meadows occur in the south. Approximately 1,000 metres west of Lake Świętajno, the two lakes Piasutno and Nożyce lie in a valley.
Getting around
An asphalt road runs along part of the eastern shore. It passes through Szczytno, Olszyny, Świętajno and Kolonia, then continues north towards Racibórz.
Walking and cycling are considered suitable ways to experience the lake area. Cycling routes of 17.3 kilometres, 24.4 kilometres and 25.3 kilometres are mentioned.
