Manor Park and Lake Niedalino
The former manor park lies in the center of Niedalino. It was established in the second half of the 19th century and, together with the neighboring Lake Niedalino, forms a connected landscape complex. The lake covers 14 hectares. These two features together give the village center its distinctive landscape character, without requiring visitors to follow any particular itinerary.
The former park’s old-growth trees include silver birches, European beeches, ashes, maples and horse chestnuts. This variety of tree species also makes the historic park interesting to visitors who prefer to focus on the landscape and trees rather than a longer route. The Radew, on which Niedalino lies, is covered by a protected area. The Radew is considered a quiet, scenic river and is suitable for kayaking. Niedalino thus brings together a historic green space and a protected river in different, but equally nature-focused, settings.
Kayaking and cycling routes around Niedalino
The Radew kayaking route is 58 kilometers long and passes through Niedalino. Those interested in a longer water route can take this distance into account when choosing a destination and planning their day. Along the way, visitors can see a historic hydroelectric power station in Niedalino. The Radew is also suitable for fishing, so kayaking and fishing appeal to different interests in the river.
Another route described here is the blue Palace Trail. It leads from Niedalino along a woodland trail beside the Radew and Lake Hajka, toward Rosnowo. The red Trasa Słoneczna also runs nearby as a circular route via Manowo, Niedalino, Rosnowo and Zacisze, returning to Manowo. Both routes pass through Niedalino, but differ in their layout: the Palace Trail leads from Niedalino toward Rosnowo, while Trasa Słoneczna is designated as a circular route with several place names.
The area around Niedalino includes forests with the Hajka hydroelectric power station, as well as opportunities for recreation at Lake Hajka. There are calmer stretches on the lake that are suitable for less experienced kayakers. The village’s cultural history includes a single-nave church dedicated to Our Lady of Częstochowa. It has no tower or separate chancel. It formerly served as a cemetery chapel, and a cemetery dating from the late 19th century lies around the church. These features give the church a distinct historical character. Annual events for the entire municipality and powiat (county) are traditionally held at the recreation area in Niedalino.
