Dobra is located on the southern edge of the Puszcza Wkrzańska forest. The town is described as being approximately 7 km west of Szczecin and 5 km from the Lubieszyn border crossing.
History and architectural heritage
Dobra’s history dates back to the late 13th century. A prehistoric burial mound cemetery dating from the 9th century was discovered near Dobra. A partially preserved neoclassical manor complex was established in the southern part of Dobra. The parish church of “Our Lady Queen of the World” was built around 1250 from granite blocks and extensively remodeled in 1875.

Grodzka Kępa, Wyspa Zielona, Wyspa Okrętowa, and Wyspa Gryfia are located in the vicinity of Dobra. The surrounding area also includes Szczecin - Zamek XIVw. and Boock, village church. In the wider regional area are Bröllin Castle and the Neuenfeld dolmen.
Cycling connections
A cycling tour around the Szczecin Lagoon passes through Dobra Szczecińska between Buk, Wołczkowo, and Szczecin Głębokie. A regional cycling infrastructure project includes a route leading to the national border in Dobra (Szczecińska).
