Landscape and Location

Nowe Warpno is a town in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in Police County and the municipality of Nowe Warpno. The municipality is located in the Wkrzańska Forest region and includes part of the Szczecin Lagoon as well as the eastern part of Lake Nowowarpieńskie. Almost the entire municipality is covered by the Wkrzańska Forest.

Riether Werder, Kaulbarschberg and Beckersberg are located near Nowe Warpno. Trendel lies in the surrounding area of Nowe Warpno.

Water and Trails

Nowe Warpno has a port and marinas on the Szczecin Lagoon. The red tourist trail named after Stefan Kaczmarek runs through the municipality between Trzebież and the Głębokie area, passing through the Wkrzańska Forest.

During the 2025 summer season, a pilot water route connected Szczecin, Nowe Warpno and Świnoujście. According to the information provided, a maritime border crossing is also operating in Nowe Warpno.

History and Regional Surroundings

The settlement was first recorded in 1184; the town was probably founded in 1295. After a major fire in 1692 that destroyed, among other things, the town hall and church, the church was rebuilt; a new half-timbered town hall was erected in 1697.
