Łacko lies on the southern shore of Lake Wicko, on a moraine hill at an elevation of around ten metres above sea level. The Baltic Sea is approximately four kilometres away, while the valley of the Klasztorna stream borders the village to the east.

Geographical location

Łacko is a village in the municipality of Postomino, in Sławno County in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. The village is located approximately 15 kilometres north of Sławno.

History

Łacko is considered an old rural settlement with archaeological finds from prehistoric and historical periods. The earliest recorded mention dates from 1394.

Łacko is also historically connected with the Marienkron Carthusian monastery. Its later history included relocations and, ultimately, its abandonment after the Reformation; the Klasztorna stream preserves the connection to the monastery in local historical memory.
