Sławno lies at the confluence of the Moszczenica and Wieprza rivers, in the northeastern part of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. The town is situated on the Słupsk Plain. Churches and architectural history
The Mariacki Church was built between 1326 and 1364, funded by Duchess Zofia, the wife of Barnim IV. It is in use and administered by the Catholic parish pw. W.N.M.P. Another historic building that forms part of the townscape is the Church of St. Anthony of Padua. It was built in 1925–1928 to designs by Sławno architect Fridrich Suhr, at the initiative of Father Franciszek Niering, the first priest of the Catholic curacy.
The Church of St. Anthony of Padua also houses a 16th-century Renaissance triptych. It comes from the workshop of Frankfurt sculptor Schnitzer and depicts five scenes from the life of the Mother of God.
