Heringsdorf Airport, Usedom
Heringsdorf Airport Heringsdorf is one of the oldest airports in Germany. From 1919 onwards, it was developed into the SwinemĂĽnde airfield SwinemĂĽnde . In 1962, part of the airfield was developed for civil air traffic and it received its present name. Until 1979, domestic flight routes connected Heringsdorf with Berlin, Dresden, Erfurt and Leipzig. Between 1993 and 1996, Heringsdorf Airport underwent a comprehensive renovation.
During the summer season, scheduled flights connect the airport with numerous airports in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Most routes operate from late April until late October. Service providers based at Heringsdorf Airport look after passengers’ needs, offering services such as hotel transfers and rental cars.
Heringsdorf Airport itself, or its partners, offers a range of additional services, including sightseeing flights over the island of Usedom, charter flights, and all kinds of flight and hotel bookings.
