Trassenheide Recreation Center (Usedom)

Set amid the dune forest in the north of Usedom Island, just a three-minute walk from the fine sandy beach, our recreation center has offered holiday stays for children’s and youth groups of all ages, as well as family holidays, since 1993.

The center has a lodge that can be used year-round, as well as bungalows available for rent from May to September. The rooms in the lodge accommodate up to 8 people, while the bungalows have 3 to 4 beds. The property has a total capacity of 150 guests.

Meals are served in the dining hall, which can also be used for events. Games and sports equipment can be borrowed. The common room, with its pool table, also has a mini-shop selling sweets, drinks, ice cream and snacks. The sanitary facilities are centrally located: inside the building for guests staying in the lodge, and in a separate sanitary block for bungalow guests. Restaurants, a beach bar, ice cream parlours and snack stands are all close to the center. The walk to the village center, where there is a supermarket, takes 20 minutes. Rental bicycles can be arranged and delivered on request, allowing you to explore the island on its well-developed network of cycling routes.

With this setting, all the ingredients are in place for a varied and relaxing holiday with friends or family. There are also numerous places to visit in the surrounding area, both nearby and farther afield. The seaside resort of Trassenheide is home to Europe’s largest butterfly farm. The museums in Peenemünde, 10 km away, are easy to reach on the Usedomer Bäderbahn railway. In addition to the internationally renowned Peenemünde Museum, they include a toy museum, the “Phänomenta” science center and a submarine museum. Nearby Mölschow’s Kulturhof offers especially appealing activities for youth groups.
