When planning a trip, Eringsboda brings together two themes: lakes and fishing, and garden parks and architectural history. The area has ten lakes, and you can fish in the lakes around Eringsboda. In the southern part of the Eringsbodabygden area lies the Ljusterhövdens m. fl. sjöars fiskevårdsområde fishing area. It covers ten lakes with a total surface area of more than 300 hectares. The place name and the fishing area therefore offer different ways to orient yourself around the waters: one focuses on Eringsboda as a place, the other on the area in the south of Eringsbodabygden and its overall size. If you would like to include fishing in your stay, you can plan around these two geographical reference points.

Togölen as a point of reference

Togölen is centrally located in Eringsboda, and a lit walking path runs around the lake. Parking for the path is available at Färgaregården and by the old shop. This provides a specific walking route in the village alongside the general focus on waters and fishing. If you plan to use the path, check the latest information about its facilities before setting out, as details may change. Its central location and the two parking options mentioned give you different points of reference for planning.

Garden park and connection to Bräkne-Hoby

Nordensköldsparken in Eringsboda is one of several rural garden parks maintained entirely by volunteers. The RonnebySlingor route connects the park with Svenmanska Park in Bräkne-Hoby. The focus therefore extends from a single garden to a route with two named parks as its endpoints. If you are interested in garden parks, you can make the park itself or this connection a focus of your visit.

Church, cemetery and architectural history

The history of Eringsboda Church can be understood through its cemetery and the first chapel. The cemetery dates back to the 1730s, when the first chapel was built. This wooden chapel, roofed with wooden shingles, was built between 1736 and 1738. In the 18th and 19th centuries, the cemetery was an important gathering place. The later church replaced the chapel and was built between 1847 and 1849 to plans by J. A. Hawerman. Its Neoclassical exterior has remained unchanged since it was built. This makes it possible to distinguish chronologically between the early history of the chapel and cemetery and the later construction of the church.

Location and choosing accommodation

Eringsboda lies on Karlskronavägen (Road 122), which today follows a route that was once an important link between Småland and Ronneby’s shipping port. The road reference describes the village’s present-day location, while the connection to Ronneby adds a historical perspective. If you are looking for a hotel in Eringsboda, you can decide where to stay based on whether lakes and fishing, the walking path around Togölen, or the history of the church and cemetery best matches your interests. Nordensköldsparken adds a rural garden park, maintained entirely by volunteers, to these options.
