Culture and History
The I. Simonaitytė Memorial Museum is housed in the writer’s summer house. She lived and worked there during the final decades of her life. The museum offers educational programmes, guided tours and cultural events about the writer, the history of Lithuania Minor and the culture of the Lietuvininkai.
Priekulė, too, preserves a distinctive historic townscape: the 19th-century centre corresponds to the type of a larger town in Lithuania Minor. In Dreverna, the reconstructed Jono Gižas ethnographic farmstead museum presents local boatbuilding and fishing traditions.

PriekulÄ— lies on a bend of the Minija. The 13-hectare Vingio Park has a network of paths, including a main path along the bank of the Minija.

In SvencelÄ—, a leisure complex for kitesurfing, wakeboarding and windsurfing is located on the Curonian Lagoon. The landscape combines lagoon, dunes, reed beds, open meadows, forests, towns and villages.
Nature and Trails
The Klaipėda–Dreverna–Svencelė section of the Curonian Way is listed as a 32-kilometre cycling route with a duration of approximately two hours. The stated route composition comprises 30 percent asphalt, 50 percent dirt track and 20 percent forest track.
The Tyrai Bog lies on both sides of the King Wilhelm Canal and covers 1,130 hectares. It is home to rare plant species native to the Lithuanian coast.
