The nature trail at Hof Birkenkamp currently has 20 stations. Its circular route connects nature, the changing seasons and the history of the farm. One section is devoted to the Elven Trail, which leads around a protected aquatic habitat.

A Nature Garden with a History

Jennifer Dietel’s nature garden with alpacas was newly established from 2017 onward on the grounds of a nearly 200-year-old Büdnerei (a smallholder’s farm). Its history is thus connected to an older farm building. The garden features open areas for relaxing, secluded spots for people and animals, and plenty of space for nature to grow freely. These features sit alongside the landscaped garden areas and give the place its varied character.

The garden includes wild areas and perennial flower beds, old English roses, herbs and a small kitchen garden.

Farm Shop and Getting There

The farm shop offers visitors fresh eggs from the farm’s own hens, as well as selected handmade products. These come from the farm’s own production and from the local area. The shop thus complements the walks, nature trail and garden with a selection of regional and handmade products.
