Location and Landscape

Zierzow is a municipality in the Grabow administrative district, in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The Tarnitz flows through the municipal area southward toward the Löcknitz.

Two rural roads cross in Zierzow. Grabow is eight kilometers to the west; there, connections are available to the B5 and to a railway station on the Hamburg–Berlin railway line. The Parchim interchange on the A24 is eleven kilometers away.

History

Zierzow was first documented in 1312. In that year, Margrave Waldemar of Brandenburg sold two hides of land to Eldena Monastery.
