Eixen: Hotels and Accommodation

Eixen is located in the Vogelparkregion Recknitztal between the Mecklenburg Lake District and the Baltic Sea coast.

Nature

The Recknitz borders the municipality to the south; the Lower Recknitztal Nature Reserve is located there. Lake Eixener See is the municipality’s most important named lake. It also includes Lake Eixener See, the Western Pomeranian woodland landscape, the Recknitztal bird protection area and an FFH area.

In Eixen, there is the Natur-Freizeit-Camping & Badeareal “Eixener See”.

Geographical Location

Eixen can be reached from the A20 via the Tribsees exit, which is about 15 kilometers away, or via the Bad Sülze exit, approximately 14 kilometers away.

Culture

The municipality has fieldstone churches in Eixen and Leplow. In the vicinity of Eixen are Marlow Bird Park, Kucksdorfer Castle, and Bad Sülze with its town church and spa gardens. The palace park is located nearby.

In the wider regional area are Lieper Castle, Mönchstein and Grimmen Wildlife Park.
