Fuhlendorf is located directly on the Koppelstrom and Reedensee. Reedensee is a separated part of the Bodstedter Bodden.

Geographical Location

Fuhlendorf is located in the western part of Vorpommern-Rügen, west of Stralsund and five to eleven kilometers west of Barth. Since 2018, the village has been officially recognized as a health resort.

History and Churches

Fuhlendorf was first mentioned in official documents in 1278. Bodstedt is part of Fuhlendorf; the former pilgrimage church of St. Ewald, dating from the 15th century, is located there.

In the surrounding area of Fuhlendorf are St. Mary's Church in Barth, the church village, St. Mary's Church in Kenz-Küstrow, and the village church in Langenhanshagen.
