Semlow: Hotels and Accommodations

Semlow is located in the western part of Vorpommern-Rügen, southeast of Ribnitz-Damgarten. The municipality lies on the border with Mecklenburg; in this area, the Recknitz follows the course of the border.

Nature

In the immediate vicinity of Semlow are Schlosspark, a park, and Fahrenberg, a hill. The Kurpark, also a park, is located nearby as well.

Culture and History

Semlow was first documented in 1320, and the place name is of Slavic origin. The Kucksdorfer Burg, a ruin site, and Bad Sülze Stadtkirche, a church, are located in the surrounding area. In the wider regional area are Lieper Burg, a ruin site, and Mönchstein, a monument.

Surroundings

Vogelpark Marlow, a zoo, is located near Semlow.

Classification

The B105 road between Rostock and Stralsund runs north of Semlow. Access from the A20 is via the Tribsees interchange, which is approximately 20 kilometers away.
