Castle and town history
Sztum Castle of the Teutonic Order dates back to the 14th century. It served as the seat of a Teutonic Order reeve and also as the Grand Master’s summer residence. Another historic stop is St. Anne’s Parish Church. It was built after the Thirteen Years’ War and renovated and enlarged around 1900–1901. A 116-metre section of the western town wall has been restored and preserved, along with the moat.
